In the Master Plan Amendment, overlay zones were created on over 20 miles of roadways. These overlay zones will allow construction of "higher learning" institutions, essentially college campuses in our neighborhoods. This planning board has zero respect for the peaceful enjoyment of resident's homes and neighborhoods. We see the planning board pass major applications that will create major traffic issues and dangerous conditions with no respect for the residents.
There are currently 2 Planning Board members who seem to have MAJOR ethical conflicts with being on that board! And both, along with Jackson's Mayor have the appearance of collusion with developers and investors. Jackson has become a town of lawlessness, the law is not handed down equally.

When it comes to the DOJ Complaint, it has become more obvious that the complaint was scripted by a connected few with money and access to former U.S. Attorney General, William Barr. The relationship between these "connected" individuals and Barr spans decades prior. With Jackson's Mayor and new Council members, their agenda to "Move Jackson Forward" is backed not by Jackson's long time residents, but by deep bank accounts and political connections at the highest levels in Ocean County. When Attorney Brent Pohlman says that the Settlement was going to "save taxpayers money," what he is silent on, is the fact that "those few", already started to invest in property in the "targeted zones" outlined in the new Master Plan Amendment, not to mention the Millions $$ that will come off the tax rolls due to parsonage.
